Ministry of Communications and Information Technology , department of information technology (  DeitY )  provide incentives to encourage investments in the Electronics System Design and Manufacturing sector in India .

The Chartered  Engineer has to certify the following

• Date of start of commercial production
• Certificate stating that plant & machinery has been installed , the price is as per market value and same are being used exclusively for the manufacture of products as applied and approved under M-SIPS
• Certificate on the percentage of land and building ( which is being claimed for incentives reimbursement ) being used for the approved project
• If the plant & machinery are refurbished , whether imported or procured domestically , the applicants musst produce a copy of certificate for valuation of the machinery issued by independent Chartered Engineer - Refurbished plant & machinery cannot be greater than 20% of the total value of the machinery or plant proposed to be purchased under the project for which M_SIPS  subsidy is being claimed
